The Estonian Television will make available video clips of the broadcast on the homepage of ETV24 www.etv24.ee during the week after President Lennart Meri’s funeral. The video clips will be published a couple of hours after the end of the broadcast and will remain available until the end of the following week.
In cooperation with the telecommunications company Elion, on Sunday, ETV will also transmit the live broadcast over the Internet. The link to the webcast will be published on the homepage of ETV24 on Sunday.
The live broadcast on the Internet is, above all, aimed at the numerous Estonians living abroad, who cannot watch ETV directly. Due to technical limitations, up to 9000 people can simultaneously watch the live broadcast on the Internet. After the number has been exceeded, each following viewer will receive a relevant notice and be unable to see the broadcast. Thus, we would kindly ask all local Estonians to prefer the television broadcast. As it will be the first major live Internet broadcast from Estonia that is made so widely available, Elion and ETV would appreciate your understanding in the event of any technical problems.
The live broadcast and video clips will be in Windows Media 9 format, 256Mbit/s, and the relevant software (Windows Media Player) must be installed on your computer to view them.
